Happy Homemade
Able to steam, blend, and extrude baby food into pouches, Happy Homemade is the only appliance of it's kind that provides parents an all in one baby food preparation and storage machine. Parents are able to control exactly what their baby is eating and have the ability to store and feed their baby from convenient pouches. Happy Homemade comes with a recipe book that contains instructions for cooking fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• As the lead engineer I worked closely with an industrial designer to bring this product from concept to reality
• Created countless mock-ups and prototypes to refine and test various aspects of the machine
• Utilizing electrical and mechanical knowledge created works/looks like models
• Designed unique safety mechanisms
• Identified areas for potential cost savings
• Facilitated user testing
• Demonstrated and presented product at various sales meetings
• Developed product specs
• Created all CAD necessary for hand off to manufacturing
• Challenges included material selection, cleaning, rigorous QA requirements, and seamless user interaction
